From December 2024, Nightingales Primary Care Network (PCN) is introducing the Overflow HUB — a new service designed to enhance patient care across our practices. This collaborative approach allows our local GP practices to work together, increasing appointment availability and ensuring that all registered patients within Nightingales PCN can access care when they need it most.

• Hollywood Medical Practice

• Crabbs Cross Surgery

• Hollyoaks Medical Centre

• Ridgeway Surgery

• Crabbs Cross Medical Centre

What This Means for You

With the Overflow HUB in place, you may be offered a same-day appointment at another practice within Nightingales PCN, helping to reduce waiting times and enabling you to be seen more quickly. Depending on your needs, you may also be offered a telephone consultation with a GP from a different practice within the network.

The Overflow HUB focuses on managing routine, same-day health concerns, which helps free up appointments at your usual practice for patients with more complex or ongoing health needs. This approach allows us to provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time — supporting all patients across Nightingales PCN.

We are proud to launch the Overflow HUB to ensure timely, efficient access to care, and to continue delivering high-quality services for all our patients.

Please note: If you are offered an appointment through the Overflow HUB, you will be seen at Winyates Health Centre.

Working in Partnership with Vertis

Nightingales PCN also works closely with Vertis Health a federation of GP surgeries and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) in Worcestershire, supporting over 600,000 NHS patients across the county.

Vertis helps local GP practices, including those within Nightingales PCN, by providing additional clinical services such as extended hours appointments, and extra clinics during busy periods, such as bank holidays or practice closures. This partnership allows us to offer patients more appointment options at times that are convenient, while also helping our GPs to focus on patient care by reducing administrative workload.
